Enrolments
Bardon State School is an enrolment managed school. This means that students who live within our designated catchment area are guaranteed enrolment. Siblings of currently enrolled students are also eligible for automatic enrolment.
We warmly welcome enquiries from families who reside outside our catchment area. Each year, we are often able to offer a limited number of places to out-of-catchment students. These applications are considered in the order they are received.
Visit Us
We love meeting new families and sharing what makes our school special.
In Term 2, we host an annual Open Day for prospective families. This event includes:
If you are unable to attend our Open Day, we are happy to arrange a school tour at another suitable time.
When to Apply
Families wishing to enrol their child for the following year are encouraged to submit completed enrolment forms from the beginning of Term 2.
Once we receive your application, we will contact you to arrange an enrolment meeting. This meeting is an important first step in building a positive partnership between home and school. It gives us the opportunity to get to know your child and your family, and for you to ask questions or share any information that will help us support your child's transition to school.
We believe children thrive when families and schools work closely together, and we value starting this relationship early.
For families relocating from interstate or overseas, enrolment meetings can be arranged via Zoom or Microsoft Teams if you are not yet living locally.
Enrolment Requirements
As part of the enrolment process:
A parent or carer and the prospective student are required to attend a meeting with the Principal or delegated Enrolment Officer.
Verification of your child's date of birth (Birth Certificate or Passport) is required.
Proof of residential address is required (copy of your latest rates bill or a signed copy of your lease).
How to Apply
Please email completed enrolment applications to the school office.
If you have any questions about the process or your eligibility, we encourage you to get in touch — our team is always happy to help.
