Fostering Positive Communication Between Parents and School
At Bardon State School, we value the strong partnership between families and our school community. Open and respectful communication is key to ensuring the best outcomes for our students. To maintain a positive and supportive environment for everyone, we would like to take this opportunity to share some guidelines for effective communication between parents and the school.
Guidelines for Communication:
- Respectful and Constructive Tone: We encourage all communication to be respectful, courteous and focused on finding solutions. This helps us work together effectively to support your child's learning and wellbeing.
- Appropriate Channels:
- For general queries or concerns, please contact your child's classroom teacher or the school office.
- For more specific issues, such as academic progress or wellbeing, please arrange a meeting with the relevant teacher or staff member.
- For urgent matters, please contact the school office directly.
- Appointments for Meetings: To ensure we can give your concerns the time and attention they deserve, we kindly ask that you make an appointment to meet with teachers or staff. This allows us to prepare and provide the best possible support.
- Email Communication: Emails are a convenient way to communicate but please keep in mind that teachers and staff may not be able to respond immediately due to their teaching responsibilities and this is always our first priority.
- Social Media: We kindly remind parents that social media is not an appropriate platform for raising concerns or discussing school matters. If you have any questions or issues, please contact the school directly.
By working together and maintaining open, respectful communication, we can create a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation.
